We strongly recommend using an iPad for use on the go, in the field or checking customers in outdoors. If not, an Android Tablet is also sufficient.
An iPad or Tablet will offer the most screen real estate and can be set in horizontal aka Landscape mode so you can take full advantage of the software. Smartphones have a vertical layout and while great for texting, are not typically recommend for complete business management software. An iPad or Tablet’s ease of handling and integrated software make it extremely user friendly.
Once you have selected your device, there are two key steps to best setting it up.
First, ensure you have a strong, industrial-grade case. It’s helpful if this case has a holding strap as well. This is to make sure that your iPad doesn’t retain any damage throughout the day and is best suited to your needs.

You also should set your tablet to be on landscape mode. This will make it interact with your browser much better and be easier to use overall.
To do this, turn your iPad on its side, then put it on autolock.
You can turn this function on by swiping down from the top right corner of your screen and clicking the “lock” button.
Finally, we recommend that you use either Chrome or Safari on your iPad.
These browsers work the best (in our opinion) and are the most compatible with your mobile device and Punchey.
